HBR's REALTORS® Care Fund
First established in 1993 by the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® (HBR) and known as the REALTOR® Housing Fund, our newly renamed REALTORS® Care Fund will continue HBR’s commitment to supporting 501(c)(3) organizations and their programs and initiatives that help build better communities and provide homes to local residents across Oahu.
Our housing fund is seeded by the generous contributions from individual REALTORS® and HBR members for annual grant-giving and is administered by the Hawaii Community Foundation.
To date, the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® has donated more than $352,500 in grants to community organizations.
Grants are awarded on a yearly basis with grant applications due by July 31 of each year.
Past grant recipients include Catholic Charities Hawaii, Domestic Violence Action Center, Habitat for Humanity Leeward Oahu, Honolulu Habitat for Humanity, Hawaii HomeOwnership Center, Hawaiian Community Assets, Hawaii Meals on Wheels, aio Foundation for Kahauiki Village, and Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals - Honolulu Chapter.
Funds will be distributed by three nonprofits helping families with housing costs amid the COVID-19 crisis
